What Happens When You Stop Smoking WeedMany people struggle against themselves to quit smoking weed. Some of them eventually are able to get away from it but some of them are still physically addicted to it. What happens when you stop smoking weed in terms of your health and personal behaviour?

I had a chance to chat with some drug users and ex drug users. Basically, what information I obtained looks very similar.

All drug users claimed weed does impact on their health condition.

1. Chronic bronchitis

They easily catch a cold, and cough constantly, even during the night time; suddenly they cough very badly and can’t fall asleep. But after quitting smoking, they feel better; however it takes a long time to fully recover.

 2. Insomnia and nightmares

For some personal reasons they started smoking at a very early age. After many years of smoking, suddenly they decided to quit due to other burdens such as family matters or social concerns. Quitting smoking suddenly does put an extreme amount of higher pressure on their personal behaviour. Depression and anxiety impact them, sleeping quality is extremely poor, they are unable to concentrate on one thing, and they seem lost trying to find psychological support. Insomnia and nightmares are their main concerns.

3. Overeating and putting on weight

After quitting smoking, they feel psychologically lacking of strength and energy. Some of them are addicted to junk food or over-eat meals. After a couple of weeks, they put on extra weight, especially fat on their belly. They started nagging and put the blame on everything around them.

Apart from health concerns, they also suffer some social concerns.

1. Social behaviours

They have been away from their social friends for many years, and nearly lost any contact with them. But suddenly, they started to contact them however they are questioned where they have gone. They are unwilling to tell what happened over the past years. Their behaviour and attitude toward these social friends is like a criminal just being discharged from jail.

 2. Personal relationship

Due to many years of smoking, toxins in the weed weaken their desire and cravings for personal relationships. Men suffer a sperm ejaculation function deficiency and women’s regular ovulation occurs abnormally, which cause them to be unable to positively get involved in a normal sexual relationship resulting in either separation or divorce.

3. Family relationship

They tried to hide smoking weed in front of their children and are concerned about the bad influence on them. Suddenly their weed taking habit disappeared and they go back their family and behave like a real father or mother. However such sudden happenings surprised their family although they were persuaded to quit smoking before, eventually they are accepted.

After quitting smoking and going back a normal life, it does take a time to be adapted to a new life. Overall, in the long run, it is the best decision. In the interim, somehow they struggle against themselves either psychologically or physically. All bad symptoms gradually flush out of their body. Taking on some healthy events such as outdoor physical exercise, the gym or the cinema, make friends, start to date your desired girl friend or boyfriend to make your life a bit busy and occupied. You will eventually be away from weed. Learn more at how to quit smoking weed blog.
